Welcome to the METNET Wiki
The METNET project is a BBSRC/ANR-funded collaboration between the University of York and INSA, Lyon. The project aims to build and analyse a comprehensive in silico metabolic model of the Pea Aphid Acyrthosiphon pisum, and in so doing, to gain a better understanding of the interaction with its endosymbiont Buchnera sp. APS.
Visit the METNET website for more information on the project.
Version 0.1 (beta) of AcypiCyc, a Cyc database describing the pea aphid and created by the BF2I group at INSA Lyon, has recently been published and is accessible here.
In addition, the pea aphid genome sequence is available to browse and BLAST against here

A. pisum ESTs
The are currently some 167,000 EST sequences deposited in GenBank. We have recently reclustered these to form 14,000 clusters with 16,000 sequences remaining as singlets. These have now been given systematic identifiers (beginning with the prefix APG), have been annotated and the details made available in the AphidESTs database.
Visit the AphidESTs database or download the most recent set contigs from the A. pisum EST clusters.
